Dune Cottage is a 4 bedroom, 2 bath Beach House located directly on the sand path to one of Lake Michigan’s finest beaches - Sheridan Beach in Michigan City, Indiana.
(60 miles from Downtown Chicago - 6 miles from the Michigan border).
Transportation: Planes, Trains and Automobiles ~ Chicago's Loop and South Bend are just a short train ride away on the South Shore Railroad. The Amtrack stop is walking distance away, as is the local marina with transient slips available. Want to fly yourself in? Dune Cottage is just a cab ride away from the local airport.
In addition to being right at the beach, Dune Cottage has a wonderful patio and interior spaces! Tastefully decorated in Pottery Barn style, the whole cottage is bright, fun and ready for you and your family. Blankets, pillows, linens and bath towels are provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the silver, glass, dish and cookware you'll need, plus all the appliances down to the toaster and coffee maker. Want to barbeque or toast up some S'mores? There's a Weber grill, too!
When you want to get out of the sun, Dune Cottage is equipped with A/C to keep you cooL, a color TV complete with DVD AND MOVIES, video games and cable. You'll find radios to catch a ballgame, bookshelves full of interesting books, puzzles, board games and more.
Dune Cottage comfortably sleeps 8-10 people. The GREEN BEDROOM has a queen size bed, the SUN ROOM, BOATYARD and RAINBOW ROOM each have two twin beds that can easily be pushed together. The living room sofa pulls out into a full size bed.
WEEKLY RENTALS - To allow sufficient time for house keeping, weekly rentals run from 3pm Friday until 11am the following Friday.

A security deposit is required and is necessary to hold your dates until your rent payment arrives. Conditions for the weekly rental and security deposit refund are spelled out in the Weekly Rental Agreement that needs to be signed by both you and us. We ask that our guests refrain from bring their pets and smoking inside the cottage.
